You should definitely follow the uphill road in the beginning of the tourist resort and visit the historic villages on the slopes of Mount Istoni (Lakones, Krini, Makrades, Vistonas). At the location Bella Vista (outside the village Lakones), you can admire the view over the bays and capes of Palaiokastritsa.
Also, visit Aggelokastro, a Byzantine castle of the late 12th - early 13th century.
